I think I'm going to purchase a regular cab with the 3.7 in it. My last truck, a Chevy Silerado, had a V8 in it that was only rated at 270hp. It had plenty of power for me so the 300 horses in the Ford should be fine. I know the Ford probably will not have the torque the Chevy had but it felt fine in a test drive. I averaged 17 in my Chevy, so I hope the Ford can best that by a couple of MPGs at least.

looking at the pics one can say that the design of the car is quite good but the cargo space is quite less when compared to Subaru Outback

I purchased a 2011 F150, 3.7l V6 back in early February. It's a regular cab, 4X4, STX. I know that a lot of people are going to dismiss the F150's with the 3.7 that they see on the dealers lots. The 3.7 is not like the V6's of the past. A lot of people are going to have to have the V8, with more power than they will ever need to use. I understand. I once owned a 2004 F150 Lightning. It was a very good feeling to have 380hp and 450lb ft torque to tap into. That truck was too "pretty" to drive in every day situations though. This 2011 is going to have to be a rugged truck for me. It's going to have to get reletively decent average fuel economy. So far it's delivered a pretty consistant 19mpg, with winter gas/temps. It's got what it takes to get this heavy truck moving in a hurry. Perhaps not at the pace of a 5.0, 6.2 or 3.5TT, but it'll merge with highway traffice just fine. So, if your someone who has past that point in your life where you must have so much more power than you need, the 3.7l V6 in the F150 is going to give you what you need without the premium price at the dealer, and will save you a couple bucks at the pump. Don't dismiss it, drive it. If you don't like it, they will happily sell you a V8.
